Art is Art: Collaborating with Neurodiverse Artists at Creativity Explored

Art is Art: Collaborating with Neurodiverse Artists at Creativity Explored Online

Join the California History Section for a live webinar on Art is Art: Collaborating with Neurodiverse Artists at Creativity Explored on Wednesday, April 30, at 4:00 PM!

Join us for an exploration of the amazing journey neurodiverse artists have made over the past 40-plus years, from a period of institutionalization to being major players in the contemporary art world. Along the way, you’ll learn about the individual artists working at Creativity Explored, a San Francisco nonprofit that gives people with developmental disabilities the opportunity to express themselves through art. Ann Kappes, editor of the book Art is Art: Collaborating with Neurodiverse Artists at Creativity Explored, will share a dynamic array of artworks and artists' quotes, interviews and personal stories that challenge audience members to examine their own perceptions about advocacy and disability.
